Title: BIG wind no door

Had the biggest wind storm of years here in the CA desert a few weeks ago. Came home from being out of town and my Bradley had crashed from where it has sat in my BBQ area for 2yrs. Door demolished. Hinges OK though. Just ordered a new door. Should be back  smoking in 3 or 4 days. Looking forward to it.

sorry to hear about the wind storm and damage to the bradley, you will be back to smoking soon enough

WOW!!! that must have been a heck of a wind storm..glad you have a new door coming, might want to find a new spot for the smoker or put a large rock on top...lol   good luck..

LindaCC...which desert you in?...high...or low? We had some bad wind out here last week...wonder if we're neighbors?

The door on my OBS also blew off the other day.  I had finished the smoking and I was letting it cool off on the deck with the door slightly ajar.  I guess the wind caught it and pulled it right off.  The only damage was a broken corner on the plastic but I can easily reattach that with Super Glue.

Been very busy and not at the computer.....just saw this. I am in Rancho Mirage. You are very close to me if you are in LaQuinta. My daughter lives in LaQuinta. Well....perhaps we should get together and smoke something.

Door all on, smoking a turkey breast as we speak. I did a little hinge tweeking. Filed down the door frame on top next to the hinge. Closes much better then originally from factory.

Sure Linda....lets get together...how fun is this....we are in La Quinta...geez...you can't be more then 6 miles away!!! I'll PM you our phone number! Wow...another girl smoker in the desert!  :) What are the odds?

Yup, you get them gals together and you just know that bad things are going to happen to good food.  ;D Well that is very cool. Hope you ladies have a good time.
