Title: How do you make turkey jerky?
Post by: wb on May 09, 2011, 06:59:24 PM
Hello folks, I got lucky this turkey season and got myself a nice gobbler.  I would like to make turkey jerky out of this guy but I have no clue as to wear to begin,  i was thinking of cutting it into strips and putting it in the smoker,   but what do you put on it?  can i use the smoker or should i stick with a dehydrator?  i need step by step directions if anyone is willing to share and willing to type it all out.  i never made jerky before, i mainly just do ribs, chicken, and pulled pork, so this very new to me and would appreciate any help.

thanks

wb

Welcome to the forum WB.  Post this same question in the "Jerky" section of the forum.  You will find lots of info there for all types of jerky.
