Title: questionalbe interior temperature of bradley
Post by: bgregs on May 17, 2011, 01:25:20 PM
Having used my bradley smoker (btis1) only a handful of times, I was always suspicious of the lack of internal heat generated.  As I was priming for the bbq season, I plugged in andturned to high and let sit for close to 2 hours. Outside thermometer never registered above 125 degrees.  Should I be concerned and should I contact Bradley customer service to address...all input is appreciated for this novice

125 F after 2 hr sounds like your heating element aint working.

You will see that kind of heat out of the smoke generator allone.

Have you unplugged and replugged the power cord going to the smoking chamber?

Have you opened up the smoke generator to check for a loose wire in there?

If you have the OBS have you tried to bypass the temp switch?

If its the DBS have you tried plugging the power cord directly from the wall outlet to the back of the cabnet?

Let us know.
