Hello!

Was walking across the yard yesterday and lookie here, he's over 3' long.

Then by the time I got the camera JD found him and he wasnt happy, he struck at her 3 times before I could get to her, them bull snakes can strike there length.

Got JD at bay and this is my little friend. ;D

Tried to get a shot of his tail shacking just like a rattle snake.

But he wasnt happy and kept hissing and recoiling getting ready to strike.

I let him go, we like bull snakes around here, they controll the mice and moles and the babys like crickets.

I hate snakes, but I let the bull snakes go too.
you got a little closer than I would have for pics though.

They dont hurt when they bite,,,,,,,, much. ::)

Had a LOT bigger one bite me on the side of my hand last year when I was cleaning up around the bone pile, he wouldnt let go and started to coil around my arm.

Had to squeeze the sides of his jaw to make him let go, I didnt want to hurt him cause he was big enough to kill and eat a barn rat. ;D

These snakes are a good thing, they are better than a cat, they take care of the critters you dont want and leave the ones you do allone. ;D
