Title: Simple Chorizo
Post by: SiFumar on May 23, 2011, 01:45:57 PM
This is a very easy and tasty recipe.  I got it from another military wife 34 years ago. (It was her family recipe) This is before most people heard of chorizo thru the net or food channels.

1 pound ground pork
1 tsp salt
2 Tbs chile powder
1 garlic clove minced
1 tsp oregano
2 Tbs white vinegar

Mix all ingredients thoroughly.  Better after sitting for few hours.
Can be multiplied as needed

We like it mixed in fried potatoes and eggs

Oh Ya.

Looks and sounds gooood.

Fried taters, fried in the chorizo grease, with eggs on a trotilla and smothered in hot sauce.

Now thats my kinda breakfast.  ;D
