have to say that I have made some new friends in my new neighborhood... one of the neighbors handed me a brisket this morning and said here you go... its yours.... by the way your invited over for sunday bbq... then it dawns on it.... he actually wants me to smoke it....( smacks my forehead ) but anyway its a small gathering of 15 or so people.... with a 18 lb brisket it will be more then enough and im holding back 1/4 of it for me and my family....
heres the beast....

right out of the smoker

then into a container with a cup of orange soda and FTC for an hour

sliced and can we say yummmyyyyyyy
YUMMMYYYYYY!!!!
The bark looks GREAT!
Awesome job Beefman! 15 hours for a 18 pounder :o That 900w element and fan make a big difference in cook times ;D
Ya done good beefman, I sure hope you shared that with the fella that gave it to ya..... :D
Ghost, as of last night there is about a pound left.... am glad every one enjoyed it and as for the timer it is a huge help keeping track of actual cook times and yes the 900 watt heater and blower makes a big difference and would not change a thing
