Title: Beef Rib Roast Today
Post by: devo on June 09, 2011, 04:35:04 PM
Drove my son to school this morning and got back around 9AM. Put on the small rib roast I had marinating in the fridge with my Roxie's Saturday Night Special sauce over night in the fridge.
Spent the day doing yard work and went back to town to get my boy from school. We got back around 4PM and I fully expected the internal temp to be about 145*F but it had stalled at 120*F. So crank up the cab temp and rushed the sucker. At 7PM it only was at 135*F, and we are getting hungry so out it came. I don't mind medium rare but after dinner its on its way back in to at least 145*F. Supper was great with mashed potatoes and corn.

Yup very tender and just the right amount of smoke. ( three hours of crown royal)
Just not done as much I would have wanted but its back in the smoker for tomorrows lunch.
Sipping on some JD right now just waiting for that magic number to take it out again  ;D ;D ;D

Really looks good, we can't get crown royal down here, I think Lumpy is bringing some down to NEPAS III SO...How do you like that Auber by now..?

The Auber allows me to do things around the house or away from the house if need be. Best investment for the bradely smoker ever. You would think they would come up with there own version by now since most of us have one. Seems like the next step to make their product even better, but you never know they just might be snoozing and looooozzzzzzing on this one.

Well basically it was twelve hours later before it got to IT of 145*F.....just pulled it from the smoker, I guess I could have finished it in the oven but i'm a single dad and dont need the extra work cleaning inside toys. Its summer time so it BBQ or smoker and it took 12 hours, and it taste
s great  ;D
