Title: stressed out
Post by: car54 on October 16, 2005, 11:52:27 PM
I was going through my files and I found this. I put it up at work about 7 years ago and my boss was extremely offended by it. He thought it was very anti company and I was almost disciplined because of it. I just thought that it was funny. My boss needs to get a life

C54,

As a "management" person in my real job, I too find it offensive, especially in the "burying the bodies" part.

Then consider the "offer" to work 100% through the week as it's divided up by days. I'm sorry, I thought you were hired because you gave 150% some days, at least 90% on average days & would be forgiven on the off days.

But basically the most profound thing I object to is the ending of your post.

"AMEN"

That's just not right![xx(][V]

****And I'll follow that up with the admission that I'm not a holy-roller & have a very good reason to doubt faith whatsoever.

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?

Hey I take no offense to Car54's posting. Having been on both sides of management I can understand earlier posts here.... by everyone. [^]

It's me Car54(Brad),

I was sent that jpeg years ago from my daughter who has a very responsible position at Kraft foods. I thought it was funny and not to be taken seriously but to laugh at ourselves. I could see that that body parts is not socially correct in these days or any days. Any one who gave 100% over 5 days deserves to be terminated I am in management and I believe humor is good. At times I set up the humor so that I am the blunt end of it. I feel that it is good when my employees can laugh at and with me. I have always been one to rise to the occasion and at times I do get stressed out. I think what I like most about the jpeg is the looks of the caricature. There have been times when I feel the way it looks.

Chez Bubba I completely honor and respect your opinion. I just wanted you to know where I am coming from.

Brad,

I may not have been in the best mood when responding. Work has been very trying the past few weeks & luckily looks to get worse as we go into the holidays. Don't know why that should surprise me, it happens every year this time. I know it's a good thing for the company, but it does make me start to look like your caricature![:D]

I too am often the butt of my own jokes & appreciate humor. Don't worry, we're on the same page.[8D]
