Title: Jans Rub Pork Tenderloin
Post by: zueth on June 10, 2011, 11:43:08 AM
I had a Pork Tenderloin from Costco and decided to cook it up.  The package actually has two tenderloins, so you will see two in the pictures.

I coated with olive oil and then rub generously with Jan's rub the night before and wrapped it up and put in the fridge.

Took out the tenderloin's about 45 minutes before ready to cook and preheated smoker for 220.

Then applied 2 hours of apple smoke and cooked till a IT of 145.  They ended up taking just over 2 hours and the front tenderloin was a IT of 145 and the back tenderloin a IT of 155.  I think next time I will rotate tray after 1 hour for a more even cooking.

Here is dinner with mashed potatoes and corn.

Tenderloin's had great flavor, I think next time I might try to inject the tenderloin as well.

Can't go wrong using Jan's rub.  The tenderloins look perfect!
