A couple of Christian men's groups along with an inner city church had an inner city reachout yesterday. I was involved with smoking 230 pounds of pork butt, 30 of them. We used my friends smoker and found out that there were too many butts and we had to get creative. We put 6 of them in my Bradley and 4 in a Smokey Mountain Weber. That helped somewhat but we were still over capacity. We just had to do much tendering of the smoker to get them done on time. I had about 2 hours of sleep over 36 hours.
We fed over 800 people(?) in about 4 hours when the food ran out. The pulled pork was gone in 2 hours We had hundreds of hot dogs, bratwursts, beef ribs, pulled pork, corn on the cob and excellent deserts.
Here are some pictures.
