Title: Oh Bradley, I miss you!!!
Post by: Bigbirdoffroad on June 21, 2011, 03:44:36 PM
There is just no time to fire up the smoker.  The only day this month I have off, it's going to rain. I don't have a place to use the Bradley under cover. Lets hope 4th of July weekend is good weather.

If you have a Dick's Sporting store, they sell a 6 x 6 instant canopy for about $60. Occasionally I will see them at other stores, such as K-Mart. They sets up fast, fit on a deck that is at least 8 x 8, and protects the smoker pretty well. If you have a problem with wind driving the rain under the canopy, I wrap thick clear plastic around the side the rain is entering and use ties to hold the plastic in place. I also put small cement blocks on the leg footings to make it a little more secure. The only issue I have with it is that I have to duck down when going in and out, and I'm not by any means tall.
