Title: Pizza Pie
Post by: OU812 on June 27, 2011, 03:14:30 PM
Made me a big ole pie lastnight.

First off sourdough pizza crust topped with 8 oz of smoked mozzarella.

1 lb cooked Italian sausage.

1 lb spinage.

8 oz Italian 6 cheese blend.

4 oz homemade pepperoni.

Homemade pizza sauce with lots of petite chopped tomatoes and garlic.

8 more oz of 6 cheese blend.

4 more oz peperoni.

Let the dough rise on the counter for an hr and throw in the oven.  Had a thunderstorm move in and had to go outside to put some things away and almost burnt the pie.

Let cool a bit and time to dig in.

Only 1 piece left.

And not one word said about the spinage.  ;D

Good look pizza there.   Love the fact you made you own sauce, to many folks like to use the can stuff but I love sauce and being home made makes it look better!

I'd give you a "9" on that one.  A "10" if you'd send the last slice down my way!   ;)

The last slice was gone before I got home lastnight.

I love a good thick chunky sauce with a little sugar, EVOL, onion, garlic, basil, oregano, and thyme.

All Penzeys of course.  ;D
