So this morning I smoke/roast a tri tip, not the best tri tip I have seen as it has a lot of fat running through it but then again fat is flavor. So I unashamedly steal a page right out of Hal's playbook.
I have french bread!

You bring the rum, I'll bring the tri tip!
SS, it's a Cuisinart panini maker. It comes with different plates, flat or ribbed and different ways to use it. You can "smash" with it(flat or panini style) or open both sides down flat and use it as a griddle. Has 3 different temp controls on it. For home use it is great.
Thanks Ky, I have seen some of those panini presses on craigslist for pretty cheap. After seeing your's and Hal's sammys, I'm gonna snag one.

I'm pretty impressed with it. It can get screaming hot if you need it to. The biggest drawback is the inability to smash a big load. The ones in the back will get smashed while the ones in the front don't receive near the smashing capacity. No problem though, take the one in the back off and slide the one in the front to the back, being careful not to burn one's fingers. (Don't ask me how I know. :o)
Thanks Larry.
Was thinkin it would work great makin a hot sammie here at work.
