Title: Canada Day --What's on the menu?
Post by: tsquared on June 29, 2011, 06:54:45 AM
Friday is the day--what's on the menu from Bonavista to Vancouver Island? Tonight I am hosting a staff get together for 20 people, serving pulled pork. There will be lots of leftovers so I'm thinking pulled pork quesadillas for Friday, served with a frosty mug of a local brew--Fat Tug IPA. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sounds good T2. I haven't planned any thing yet but I have a pork loin in the freezer and I have to get cooking for the annual fishing trip to Nootka Sound ;D.

We are going to my cousins annual Canada Party and this year I think I will do a few dozen ABT's. Taking it easy this year as we are in the middle of renovations at the office and I am doing a
ot of the work myself.

That's right LQ, only we didn't have a revolution. The way it went was our first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Mcdonald, sobered up enough for a week or so in 1867 to trick the British into giving up Canada . So it's a birthday celebration. If you're ever out of the desert on July 1st you can come to the BBQ!

I spent the day smoking some ribs and sausage while taking care of some much needed house work.   Later on went to some friends to eat said ribs and than went to watch the fireworks.  It was a good day.

Did up four nice baby back rib racks, thanks to Brian @ Strodes in Brantford! These were the best ribs I've ever had! Grocery store cuts are def. off my list!  ;D
