my wife forwarded these to me, her sister sent them to her
there's some pretty amazing pictures of the flooding here in the Council Bluffs, Iowa/Omaha, Nebraska area

Watta mess!  Interstates are (over-) designed to handle 100yr floods. Dang!

yep it's a mess
all the experts here in Council Bluffs keep saying our levee system should hold, but when you hear that another levee south of you has broken you start getting concerned.
we got six inches of rain over two days last and we been pumping water out of our basement ever since.
and now the temps are going to be in the 90's for the next few days

What a mess.

And there opening the gates more this weekend.

We went out lastnight looking at the water north of Blair,,, UNBLEAVABLE.

The pictures while informative, are also really sad, to see a lifetime of work washed away..so sad.. :(
