Title: Fresh Pepperoncini
Post by: squirtthecat on July 26, 2011, 07:47:42 AM
Buddy of mine is growing some pepperoncini in his garden.  Brought some in fresh today.

Dumb question...    I've only seen/used these things pickled from a jar.    Can they be used fresh?

I like them on a pizza.  ;D

You can use them just like a fresh jalapeno but there aint gonna be any heat.  ::)

We like in fried taters.  Pickle some too!

Like they said, good on pizza or in anything you would use a mild pepper for. I make mild ABT's out of them for those who do not like any heat. They do have a good taste.
