This pretty much goes against the grain for a pastrami sandwich.
Bottom slice of bread has whole grain garlic mustard and sliced pepperoncini peppers.

Next, my house made pastrami that has been nicely heated goes on top of the mustard and peppers.

Into the sandwich press.
Finished product.

That is a HUGE flavor pop! Will definitely do this again.
G9, no doubt I ate those sandwiches in the shadow of Blue Mountains! ;) :D
Pepperocini peppers are the shiznits.
Looks simple and delicious ;D
Mine would be slathered in that mustard though ::)
Looks good Larry...
Really like the whole grain garlic mustard and sliced pepperoncini peppers.
So you made two. Is mine in the mail?
I really gotta get me one of those sammy smoosher thingies. Make all of my own bread, tried Deb's weighted pan thing on the cuban's, but did not get a good smash.
Those really look great, Larry! Checking for a smoosher on craigslist now.
Pass the Cochon's mustard!
Out in left field here but for me this morning them sammies is screaming for a slice of smoked swiss or smoked provolone melted all over the top.
Larry my friend, I did not doubt for a minute that you would have them sammies any other way... :D
I have never tried making a pastrami, we really like a brand called Boars Head, how ever I think we may give it a try...
I'm ready! My pops get in town next week. Almost time to thaw out that corn beef brisket!
