Title: Need some rib help
Post by: mhiykmeel63 on August 10, 2011, 10:30:37 PM
Hey guys, Im doin 6 to 8 racks of baby backs this weekend. Im gonna be kinda pressed for time so Im wonderin if I would get more ribs in the smoker if I hung them instead of just using the racks....any input. Next thing, I know with babies I usually use the 2-2-1, but once Im done with the smoke can I just transfer them over to the oven?  I also need to transport them and its about a 30 min drive, would the TFC work for this? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated..thanx

6 to 8 racks of BB ribs should fit in your smoker with no problem.

Just bend them a bit.

Rotating racks is easier than un-hangin ribs and re-hangin them.

Yep, oven works. In fact you can put half in the oven and leave half in the Bradley.

NO, TFC will not work for transporting, but FTC will. ;D

I know happy fingers. ;D

Foil first, then for just a 30 minute drive, wrap in cple layers of towels

I usually cut them in half, is that a mistake? The ribs always seem to be ok

Is no mistakes, just practice test. If it works for you ...... do it!
