Title: Big Ron's
Post by: devo on August 19, 2011, 10:51:07 AM
Had the opportunity to get some Big Ron's Original Rub, Big Ron's Hint Of Houston Rub and he through in some free BBQ sauce.
Going to do two small picnic shoulders tomorrow. One with each rub. Hope its as good as he claims.

Put the two picnic shoulders in last night at 7PM. One rubbed with original and the other with hint of houston. This is a pick at 16 hours in. Internal temp at 173*F. Starting to get a good bark on them.
Should be ready in a few hours to be pulled from the smoker.

Had a sample of both and the hint of Houston is the winner in my house. It had the right amount of heat for me. Nice flavor on both though.
