Rick, Deb.... you guys just feel that quake? That was cool never felt a quake before.
It was supposed to be north of DC, 5.5 on the scale, so it may have been stronger near Rick and Bryan.
Hope everyone is ok.

That was so cool. :)
I know it isn't as bad as other parts of the country are used to but that was pretty crazy coming from someone that has never felt an earthquake before.
I was sitting in my office in Maryland and it felt like the building was coming down. Didn't like that feeling one bit!

Seismograph at the University of Cincinnati showing the earthquake on August 23, 2011.
Didn't feel a thing here. Chowing down on ribs at the time. ;D
My wife thought someone ran a truck into the side of the house...rattled here pretty good...
Felt it here in New Jersey. 5.9 they are saying in Virginia
Didn't feel this one but have felt plenty of others as I sit dang near on top of the New Madrid fault. It is about 200 years overdue to really let loose.
The National media coverage on this one is hilarious. They are just begging and digging for a fatality or building collapse to grab hold of. Sorry 'bout that, better luck next time. My favorite is one of the networks showed a video of the Prez out on the golf course taking a phone call. The talking head said "We now know that the President has been fully briefed on the earthquake because we have video of him taking a call while on the golf course." Really? You have no idea who was on the other end of the phone or what was being said. Most likely that conversation was "D@mn it Michelle. I said I wanted the chocolate chip ice cream". ;D
Glad that everyone is unharmed.

It was NORAD on the phone telling him that they tracked his golf ball and it chipped, use another club :o
been hearing it on the news here in calif, sounds like there is no injuries and some minor damage as of 1:00 pm pst. bricks falling off the side of a building, some glass breakage..
Shaken...not stirred here in New Carrollton, MD. Got things on my floor....and I didn't put them there.

Glad I live 5,000 miles away 'cause I don't want to be anywhere near that.
I didn't feel it at home, my husband works about 15 minutes away (Cheshire, CT) and they felt it there.
Earthquakes are pretty much a feeling of helplessness, you just have to ride them out and that feeling sucks!!! The last Seattle earth quake around 2001 sucked and I watched the building I was in do the hula and then I watched water splash out of the 12,000 gallon swimming pool for fifteen minutes with no one in it. The after shocks are as horrific as the quake itself.
I hope all are well and I feel sympathy for those that were affected with damage to there homes and livelyhood.
UH OH?!?! What was that?(http://serve.mysmiley.net/scared/scared0016.gif)
You guys had a 5.8?!?! That is a after shock for us in California :D
Then again I have never been through a Hurricane or had a Twister come down my street ::)
Ah you guys should come here when its 40 below. A little shacken is nothing
Glad all you Easter's are all okay. Hopefully that storm coming at you from the south stays off shore.
Her in SoCal we get little tremors quite often but my wife is trying to figure out how to get one about this big once a month so she doesn't have to dust. Let Mother Nature do it for you ;D

Glad you said dust, ;D ;D ;D cause I was going straight to the gutter up to that point. My bad.

It's not our fault (no pun intended); I was right there with you. SoCal lead us there (intentionally or not).
