I just ate a BIG steak and I would have traded you for that plate.

As a young boy when Momma fixed something like that, I thought

it was because we were poor. As I got older I realized she fixed

that cause it was good.

And neighbor is right, cukes soaked in vinegar and a little water

with pepper added in is a treat. At least over nite or longer if you

can stand it. Throw a piece of cantaloupe in there too. Yumm

Oh man you are in heaven with that hamburger gravy.  Grew up on that stuff.  Momma would put at bed of toast down and layer the gravy on top.  Her sausage gravy was my favorite.  I am thankful that I was smart enough to watch her make it and I have now passed it on to my kids.  Thanks for giving me a few minutes of reliving my childhood memories.

I think some secret gravy receipts are in order!    Post 'em in the non-smoked section..

I just dump the salty cr@p out of the can.   ::)

Your all going to be deeply disapointed in me ;p
Brown hamburger, sop up greeze, mix in 1 can of cambells cream of mushroom soup and 1 can of milk, simmer until gravy consistency. It really is super good and doesnt even taste like mushroom soup. Dont forget salt, pepper and your favorite spices.

I started a thread in the non-smoked section for gravy.  I posted how I make my hamburger or sausage gravy.  Really easy and quick way to make it.
