So, ever since I bought my smoker this spring, I am completely addicted to smoked chicken. I do it a lot. Either whole, or wings. I usually smoke MANY whole birds at a time (might as well get the most out of the smoke right!?!?). Anyway, I often have some chicken carcasses that I bag up and throw in the freezer.
Yesterday I wanted to make a soup and ended up making a very tasty Smoked Chicken Chowder. For any interested, here is the recipe.

That looks great, Steve!!!
I see you're a pastor...
Watch for our "resident spiritual advisor" (Well, that's what I call him, anyhow) --- FriarTuck; Great guy!
He's got a cabin retreat in da woods, so he's in-n-out of here, but, be sure and introduce yourself when you see him.
(he's a good COOK too!)
Thanks for all the props.
And hal4uk, yeah I am a pastor in Toronto. I'll look outfor the Friar. :)
I know that was awesome, because we had something similar last night!
Just read the recipe, and it looks good with a couple of minor omissions to suit my own taste (probably increase the potatoes and corn to compensate), and I may just be trying this one some day soon. I do have one smart-alecky comment about the recipe in the link though...when do you put in the corn? I also noticed that in the ingredient list, you didn't put the onion (which I thought was great, as it wouldn't have found it's way into the version I would/will make).
