Pat and I are heading for BWI airport to pickup my younger brother and his wife, and from there we will head over to NY....they never seen the statue of liberty and from there to New England...will try to post some pictures of our travels and places of interest and of coarse some food pictures....
Have fun!
The Statue of Liberty is worth the hassle to get to..
Have fun Garry!!
have fun and be safe
Have fun Gary and Pat
Have fun. I have never been in the city either. Furtherest into New England was RI. Would like to go the whole way to Maine someday.
Hate to be the dude with the wet blanket, but New York isn't in New England (which is made up of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut). It's close, though (and the Statue of Liberty is worth seeing).
The statue of liberty will be our first stop on our 14 day trip....many other stops up through New England....we will board the ferry tomorrow morning over to Lady liberty and Ellis Island...then up into Connecticut to visit the homes of Samuel Clemens and Catharine Beecher...
Have a safe and fun trip!
Have a good trip my friend....it's always nice to get away

You'd think after all these years and with a couple of college degrees I'd be able to read. Apparently not. Duh!
I hope you have a great trip and to ensure the great trip you need to have the sandwhich in that city and it aint to far from battery park

We went over to Mt Washington New Hampshire to ride the Cog train...My wife and I have been here 3 times before and this is the nicest weather we have had, the other times were snow and ice..today it was 46 at the top...the first few times here they were using the older coal fired steamers and now they use diesels... :(
The engines push the cars up and restrict them coming back down with the help of control brake wheel in the passenger cars...
The first picture is of the older coal fired steamer, and no the small engine is not broke...it is build like that so the boiler is level going up the hill...
The second picture is of the diesel engine...

The last picture is at the top were the winds were clocked 231 mph april 1934...the appalachian trail crosses just a few feet from here...they told us today the visibility was to 85 miles...really nice...
