Title: jerky storage

Gonna try to make some jerky. Should I vac package it? Do I keep it in Refer or freezer. And last how long will sliced jerky keep.

If you're wanting to keep it longer than a week I would vac pack it and put it in the freezer. Any that you don't freeze I would keep that in the fridge. Ive kept some in the freezer for months without issue. If you vac pac some make sure you cut the sharp corners off the jerky or it may freezer burn..I found out the hard way.  I usually cut mine up into bite size pieces now.

matt.. I vac mine and freeze some and we keep some in the fridge if we are going to eat it within a few weeks
