Thanks boys. 9 people coming for the big bird on Sunday. We're not smoking the turkey but I'll be serving cold smoked spring salmon for appies. My 14 year old niece is  coming and she is a smoked salmon fiend. If I don't keep an eye on her, she'll be downstairs looting my freezer!
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving across this country.

Thanks Guys!

I hope everybody has a great weekend with family. We're doing the usual big family get together at the inlaws. It's always a blast!  ;)

I've never seen it in person. I watched parts on TV (PBS, I think).

Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes.  No smoking for me this weekend.  Doing lobster thermidor on Monday instead.  Still waiting for my new Big Easy SRG to show up.  I'm tracking it on Fedex. com.  It left Atlanta on Wednesday morning.

Thanks folks. I got a turkey thawing to go into the Big Easy after it gets 1 1/2 hrs of smoke. Just the four of us and maybe one of the youngests friends. Not doing a full blown dinner. Just turkey, brussel sprouts, potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce (whole berry and jellied which I made yesterday) and carrots. I will probably just eat turkey, cranbery and mayo sandwiches. Oh yeah and I am making sweet potato pie but I am using Yams instead.
