Title: A little Oktoberfest dinner

First I started out making some dough:

For Onion bread:

Then pounded out some pork loin to bread for the schnitzel:

Floating to the top...done.  Will saute in butter and parsley:

Ja wohl!!  Das sieht sehr gut aus.  I make spätzle regularly - love 'em done in butter like you did.  Zum wohl und 'en gute.  Where'd y'all learn to make German soul food like that??

Danke 3rensho , meine Mutter war Deutsche. Sie lehrte mich die altmodische Art zuerst. Ich lebte in Bad Tölz für ein Jahr auch.

Das ist aber toll.  Es wird langsam kälter hier. Wir haben Gänseschmaltz heute zu Mittagtisch (mit Blut und Leberwurst, Kesselfleisch und Kartoffelstock) gehabt.  Translation:  We ate bloody well today.

Another translation - We had a schlachtplatte for lunch today.  Blood and liver sausage, boiled pork, sauerkraut and mashed taters.  SiFumar knows what she's doing in the kitchen!!

Thats some fine lookin Strudels, A German lady at work gave me a homemade strudel one time and it was awesome, that was the one and only time I Strudeled  :D

Great looking strudel.  Looks just like the one I had in Innsbruck the last time I was there.  Love that stuff.
