Hey this is a multipurpose cutting board. Glad you like it Rick. But I notice I forgot to oil it so give it a wipe down with some olive oil or mineral oil. I even use vegetable oil.

Will butcher block oil work?

Niiiiiiiice.
Is that Maple or Mahogany?
Thats a fantastic board. I would have never thought of cutting jerky like that. Maybe thats why mine always comes out uneven lol.

If you freeze your meat till its firm but not froze you can slice it more evenly.
Just sayin. ;D
I don't see why butcher block oil wouldn't work Rick. That board (to let the cat out of the bag) is a store bought Bamboo cutting board that I cut down and add the Oak rails along the side. The trick is in getting the right thickness on either side.
That sure is a pretty looking board. It must be nice to be handy (and inventive) to make things.
