Just seems like a week or two.
Gus, hope that things just goes away and you get to smoke that fine Sausage.
Good to see you are making a positive experience out of a negative one. Good luck and all the best to you.
Gus, I hope you are feeling better. The sausage making may take your mind of the pain a bit. Take care of yourself.

Still waiting for the stone to pass. Went to the Dr yesterday and he recommended that we wait the weekend and if nothing happens I need to go in for xrays Monday morning and he will probably want to go in and get it. I think I would prefer that in lieu of waiting for the next time I get incapacitated with pain. It is not bad today.
Meanwhile, aside from pepperoni, you can make Italian sausage while you wait to pass the stone.
Here's a small batch I made (2 2/3 lbs) this morning.

Hope you're pain free soon Gus!

So here is the sausage in some Italian bread smothered with sauteed peppers and onions. I added some sauteed spinach mixed with chopped peppers, onions, and breadcrumbs.

I feel for ya on the stones. About 10 years ago I went through it. Had three the size of a BeeBee gun bullet. Ten days in the hospital on morphine. Two operations later I was set free. Man I miss that morphine ;D :P
