Title: Fan kit and humidity
Post by: HookedOnMyBradley on October 21, 2011, 01:12:31 PM
My fan kit shipped today (woohoo!) and I am wondering if with the air circulating rapidly with said fan, will it lower the relative humidity inside the smoker enough so I could potentially close the damper more when cooking things like chicken or turkey.  Not that it's a big deal I'm just curious if there are any added benefits other than a consistent temperature throughout the cabinet.  Thanks in advance.

the fan  helps to  even  out the  temperature inside the box and does not  change the  humidity, i  would start  off with the vent half  open  and adjust slowly  if at all...  i have ran a blower in  mine  for at least 4 years and haver had  it less then  half open'
