Title: Got My Christmas Cheese All Smoked
Post by: devo on October 30, 2011, 12:22:44 PM
Used my cold smoke adapter to smoke some cheese for Christams. Inside temp never went over 50*F so it works great.

Got my cheese in today as well. 8lbs of mixed cheese, 2 buckets of ice in the box with just the smoke generator going and my temps are staying around 60F. Seemed like forever before the temps got cold enough in Mississippi to do more cheese

Nice job on the cheese.  Really looks good.

Seems like it was a cheese weekend.  I also got my Christmas cheese smoked.  Built a cardboard cold smoker.  The outside temp was 80 and even with the cold smoke box the cabinet temp was 96.  Put a ice pan in and got the temp to hold at 85.  Smoked with 2 hrs of Pecan.  All wrapped in plastic wrap and into the beer fridge to age.  Can't wait to taste my 1st try at smoked cheese.
