That a Girl when you gonna do the first batch of Jerky? or is it already in the brine?
I did 5 lbs in smoker last week when my old dehydrator went kaput. After all the work rotating....had to get new one. Have 10lbs marinating for tomorrow.

Cool! Those Penzey spices are excellent!
Next time you order from them, here's one to try...
Saté Seasoning --- Apparently, this is for an "Indonesian" dish, of which I know nothing about, but the stuff tastes awesome (on anything). The ingredients are: coarse flake salt, brown sugar, garlic, white onion, coriander, purple shallots, ginger, turmeric, sweet paprika, Ancho pepper, galangal, cayenne red pepper, lemon grass.
I think the ingredients are close to equally proportioned because there isn't really one flavor that stands out. It's one of those spices that you shake a little "taster" --- and you have to do it again.
Penzeys Spices Rock! ;D
There Northwoods Fire Seasoning goes great on just about every thing also.
That's a really nice dehydrator, you should get lot's of wear out of that one...nice lookin jerky..

Love chicken Sate (with peanut sauce) so this is on my "next" purchase list! Will also try Northwoods Fire. That is what makes this forum so special...people recommend things that they have tried and they usually aren't wrong especially when you see things they post and know they have somewhat same tastes.
Penzeys...
Tellicherry Black Pepper
Hungarian Half-Sharp Paprika
Sicilian Salad Seasoning (I put it in pasta sauce)
Looking in my Penzeys box, I see a bottle of Sate that I haven't opened yet. Will fix that shortly!
Thats some good lookin Jerky and awesome new dehydrator. Congrats!!!!
