Title: Christmas Ideas
Post by: viper125 on November 01, 2011, 02:31:02 PM
Just thinking! Might be nice to exchange ideas of what we need and what. Just some ideas in case someone draws your name in the exchange. Nothing expensive, nothing in particular just ideas. Nothing says you'll get it. But might help us newbies with ideas.

I think it is more fun not having a clue of what you are getting. I think if you go and read the threads from the last 2 you will get a pretty good idea as to the type of stuff and quantity. For the most part, a can't miss item(s) would be sauces, rubs, etc that are local to your area and that would be difficult for others to get. It doesn't even have to be something famous, just local stuff to try. Homemade food stuff is also good (provided it is something t hat won't spoil)

Well!!!! Those are some good ideas. I also dont want to give away what im going to give. Just trying to get some ideas for us new guys. Not so much an individual as what guys  use or enjoy. I have a few things already. Also say we already have something but it is more expensive then 30.00 dollars and we would like to throw it in. I have a few items I've had a while and won't use. If I would draw some one pretty new there is a chance they would use it. Just wondering if this is allowed since you do have a limit.

The limit is really more a minimum so that no one feels cheated. There is nothing wrong with including more. People do have budgets so if you go way over don't be disappointed if the person that has you stays more or less at the limit.
Me- As cliche as it sounds. I take more satisfaction in gathering a bunch of local stuff and sending it out, regardless of what I get in return. So while I'll go over the minimum, the max I spend depends on how much I can stuff in the box.

If you get it - to requirements.

1.  You cannot move it!  I like driving through on my way to fishing and imagining that I am driving through a fog of whiskey.
2.  I am invited to participate in the cook-off!
