Title: Preparing some moink balls ahead of time
Post by: jimmyb on November 04, 2011, 05:44:06 AM
Having a big party tomorrow and am trying to get a jump on the food preparations. Mainly apps so I want to get as much done today as possible. I am thinking of doing some moink balls and preparing them today. I found this interesting recipe here - http://www.smokingpit.com/recipes/Teriyaki-Moink-Balls.htm

Interesting with a chunk of pineapple in the middle.

So my question here is, do you think it would be better to prepare them as described and wait until tomorrow to marinade for one hour, wrap in bacon and smoke. Or do it all today including the smoke and reheat them tomorrow?

I would do it one of two ways:

1. Do everything and re-heat in crock-pot tomorrow or
2. Prepare today, smoke tomorrow.   Nothing like all your guest huddling around your Bradley waiting to see what you pull out.

I sometimes put a slice of Jalepeno in the middle :o
