Title: First Bradley jerky
Post by: Tater on November 06, 2011, 12:07:31 PM
I've been lurking for awhile now.  I guess it's time to start participating.  This is my first try at Jerky in the Bradley.

I started out with an eye of round roast and sliced it up.

Next, an overnight marinade in my own teryaki recipe then a sprinkle of fresh coarse ground black pepper.

An hour and 40 minutes of hickory turned out to be just a bit too much smoke, next time I will cut it down to an hour.  I think it took another 4 hours to finish.  But it's jerky time!

The kids came over right after I pulled this out of the smoker and it didn't last through the day.  How is it that kids that live miles from home can sniff this stuff out?
