Well started my smoking a few days ago and the aubur PID wouldn't work . So I got to send it back! Good thing I had the Maverick 732 I got a couple weeks ago. Finished yesterday with no problems using it. Started to smoke this morning and now the smoker probe wont work. One does the other don't. So I went to Youngstown for the chuck roast they had on sale. 1.49 a lb. Find it ended on Saturday!
Whats next? LOL I'm smoking blind now.
Those probes don't like water, especially at the joint where the cable goes into the probe.
Never in water,juice or any thing.
Well just got Mavericks email. If I mail it in they will replace. But won't send till they check it out. Oh well Pids gone mavericks down. Whats next the obs element?
Guess it all depends on who is working that day. Never had to send mine in to get a new one. Heres the email the lady sent me.
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've been experiencing with our product. Seems like you had a shorted out probe. Probes usually short out when they come in contact with water, high heat temps, open flames or if the wire gets pinched or crimped. If you send me your full name, address and phone number, i will send you a replacement probe.
