Did two butts in an overnight smoke last night. I took them out at 7 this morning, wrapped in foil and a towel. I was in a hurry so pulled one and took it off the the Jags game today. I left the other one on the counter, wrapped in foil and a towel. I asked my wife to bag it and freeze it in an hour or so. Well I just got home and that never happened. It has been sitting wrapped on the counter for the last 11 hours. Is this still good? Can I throw it in the freezer? Should I pull it and refrigerate it now? Or is that too long and I should just toss it? Thoughts?

Yikes.
11 hours in a good/proper FTC is pushing it... But just sitting out on the counter - I'd toss it if I were you.
11 hours is an awful long time, as STC has stated.
I'm not sure if taking it back up to 180F or so would be enough or not.
I've done them 8+ hours, but that was four butts packed tight in a five-day cooler.
After 11 hours I would toss it. Better safe than sorry. or in my case I give it to my in-laws but that is a different story ;D
Hey GusRobin we must be related ....... we have the same in-laws.
I'll trade any day ;D ;D
Thanks for the response everyone. I was afraid that was the right answer. Just tossed it. :(
