Apple Drink? LOL I can't remember it's name, or where to look for it. Someone had posted it last year. Had apple juice or cider, vodka, everclear, spices of some sort. It sounded soooo good and I didn't write it down. If someone remembers who made it or posted it I'd appreciate it. I received a free case of jar mugs that I'd like to fill up with this and give out. Thanks!
See if this is the recipe you're looking for. It's in the post.
It's in what post? I'm confused here now. ???
Sorry Sandy. It was early and I'm in the hospital on drugs. Forgot to paste the link.

Also, an FYI.
We all know the search engine on the forum couldn't find an elephant in your living room. You can get better search results going 'external'. For example, I used Google with the search term:
apple pie drink site:forum.bradleysmoker.com
to find the drink recipe.
The "site:" restricts the scope of the search to the forum.
A friend used to make 'apple pie' drinks to take on a golfing trip. Man it really tasted like apple pie and had a real kick. I know he used Everclear and apple juice with spices. It would take a couple weeks "to get good". Those are his words, I never made it. He has since moved from the area and we lost touch.
I make mine with Everclear(190 proof).1 gallon cider, 1 gallon apple juice ,1 cup brown sugar, 2 cups white sugar, and 7 Cinnamon sticks.Combine and simmer all ingredients except Everclear.I make a spice bag out of cheese cloth for the Cinnamon sticks cause they fall apart some times.Once it simmers turn off heat and let cool.Add everclear after it cools and bottle immediately.Store in the fridge. It tastes better after a week or two in the fridge but is still good right away.Enjoy with care it creeps up on you.
This thing needs a name. I am calling it "Apple Pie Punch" or how about "Apple Pie in your Eye".
Thanks Arnie! That's it! ;D The "pie" in the name had me stumped....so I just couldn't get it no matter how I tried. Can't wait to make it!
Now I am really sad :'( liquor stores up here in BC do not carry Everclear, what is Christmas going to be like without Apple Pie Cider? I guess I will just have to go to Peurto Vallarta for Christmas ;D

Not much of a hard stuff drinker (I like beer) but those in the know what do you think would be a good substitute for ever clear?

Vodka would be the best substitute.
Moonshine! ;D Seriously tho .... it's a pure grain alcohol with no flavor(that's why it's great in punches)...FLBR is right vodka if you can't find a grain alcohol.

Thanks for the "site:" tip, never heard that before. I have many times grumbled during searches...
