Newbie here-hate to show my ignorance but how does the Auber PID work? I Googled it and they look like something out of the space shuttle. How do they work ? - or better yet-How do you use it? Where do you get them & how much ($) are they? I just purchased a Bradley smoker & I'm waiting for my bisquettes to be delivered so I can get her aged. I plan on doing a lot of brisket & beef jerkey. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Smitty
The pid is simple a temperature controller for the cabinet

also there is some programming that is needed once it is all assembled insructions included
or you can buy the plug and play model from Auber. The dual probe (one for the cabinet temp and one for the meat) model costs about 185, the single probe (cabinet only) costs about 145.
There are several types of Auber PID controllers for the Bradley. You can get a do-it-yourself version for around $45 that you can install in the SG box or a dual probe plug-n-play version for $185. There are several options in-between.
