Title: smoking salmon and brisket
Post by: rjrj100 on January 02, 2012, 06:23:42 AM
My wife likes fish.  I don't.  If I smoke salmon and brisket at the same time will there be any fish taste in the finished brisket?

Between trying to read the verification letters that are hard to read and answering the questions posting a question is almost not worth it.  There has to be an easier way!

I would think the fish would take on a real strong taste from the wood you would use for the brisket.Usually fish  is smoked with alder or apple and brisket is done with a stronger wood such as hickory, oak or mesquite.
