Title: P I D's 1 probe or 2
Post by: fuzzy3955 on January 23, 2012, 11:28:46 AM
is the dual probe auber  that much better than the single probe. I all ready have a meat temp probe for internal meat temp. There's fifty dollars difference between the two. I'm just trying to make the right decision. would appreciate all feed back.

thanks fuzzy

I have the OBS, which has the temp adjustment slide. I had to constantly adjust it to get the temp I needed. Having the dual probe takes the guess work out of knowing what the temp is in the box and what the temp of the food is as well.
Kinda a no brainer for me. I'm really happy with it.

Heck yeah. No harm in having more than one probe in a big piece of meat or monitoring more than one item. IMHO. :)

The best part of the duel probe is you can set the pid to shut down the element at your desired IT.
