Title: Bradley All Weather Cover
Post by: crash 2006 on January 26, 2012, 11:47:46 AM
I just bought me a bradley digital 4 rack smoker with the cover.  Is it ok to leave the smoker outside with the cover on it in the rain?  I do not have a patio cover yet but do not want to damage my smoker from water.

Thanks!

You will be fine.  My cover is over two year olds now and it sits in the rain and snow!  Never an issue.

I would try to get the generator inside to keep the humidity off it. If you can't you could keep it in some sort of plastic bag sealed then covered. Just my 2 pennies worth :D

I have the OBS, and have gone through 3 covers in the past seven years. The covers do a good job protecting the smoker from the elements. If you want added protections, purchase a seam sealer, you can find it in any outdoor goods store; and seal the seals. The covers are susceptible to UV light, so it will fade and begin to deteriorate over time.
