Title: Brisket Prices
Post by: mr5150 on February 05, 2012, 12:57:50 PM
Hello All,

I'm not sure if I don't know where to shop, but up here in Calgary Alberta Canada I'm finding the price of brisket to be very high.

I went to a local butcher and for an eight pound trimmed brisket I paid $52 which I think is very high.

Any local Calgary people on the board here that can point me to more reasonable place to go??

I can't speak for Calgary but here in Saskatchewan I deal a fair bit at one particular butcher. He doesn't usually carry whole brisket but he will bring a case of them in for me. I usually split it with a friend or two. If I remember correctly last time it was around 2.60 or 2.80 a pound. I would recommend talking to a number of butchers and find someone your trust and get a good working relationship with them.
