Title: Real good Hot Dog
Post by: viper125 on February 10, 2012, 05:31:52 PM
I am looking for a really good hot dog recipe some one wants to share. Figure I'd like a comparable texture to today's regular hot dogs but a little bigger diam. Maybe 1 1/8 or 1/14 casings. Not sure weather to go skinless, hog casings or sheep. Looking for a great taste to serve to guests not just the ordinary.  But also not so different others don't want to taste or try. Looking for recommended meats or ratios. And any other info some one has time to share. It can even be one that's on here already. I think I copied most. I hope to choose the best or most popular. Hopefully for our camping and cook outs. Thanks ahead of time. Hope this isn't to many questions or asking too much.

Come on guys! Your favorites or opinions count too! Kind of a popularity poll for hot dogs. LOL

Ok well 2 suggested. I know 10.5 's will be good. I've seen the other but never tried it. So I cut the 10 lb batch down to a two lb batch and will make a small batch of both and try them.  Will post when I can compare. Got to get rid of this pneumonia first.
