I am looking for recommendations for some of your favorite BBQ restaurants. I am taking an RV trip from Canada down the west coast of Oregon and California as far as San Diego. I'll be following route 101 for the most part, stopping in Cannon Beach OR, Crescent City CA, San Francisco, Santa Barbara and San Diego. From there I'll head across to Phoenix via Palm Springs and back up past the Grand Canyon and through Salt Lake city to home. I don't have room for the OBS or the Big Easy in the trailer so might get a hankerin for some good BBQ on the road.
Downtown San Diego is/was home to Kansas City BBQ of Top Gun fame. Food isn't that great but you can play the same piano as Goose. They had a fire a few years back now that I thought destroyed the place but maybe they've rebuilt it.
