Title: A Very Bradley Mardi Gras
Post by: DisplacedCoonass on February 19, 2012, 09:23:32 PM
Since I can't be with the Wife and Son down in Lafayette (not that they're really enjoying the weather) I figured I'd make use of the Bradley to enjoy some Mardi Gras of my own.

Dough all mixed up and ready for a rest:

Into the Bradley for a two hour proofing:

And later, the fillings.  Cinnamon/Sugar/Pecan for one half and cream cheese/homemade strawberry stuff I call jam for the other half:

More later once it's all baked up and done.

Strawberry filling:

Pieced together:

One more proofing and then into the oven.

And she's all done!

Good lookin' King Cake.  We've been invited to a Fat Tuesday party tomorrow night.  Lokkin' forward to that.  Po-boys, beer, red beans and rice, beer, muffalettas, beer, and possibly a King Cake.  And of course, more beer.
