Title: Asking for prayers
Post by: KyNola on February 26, 2012, 07:52:39 PM
I am going to ask for prayers for a family I don't know.  Yesterday Lt Colonel John Fortis died from wounds suffered in Afghanistan.  He was one of the two killed by a lone gunman in a very secure area.  He is from Paducah Ky where I live.  I have never met the man that I know of nor have I met his family.  I do know one thing.  He is one of mine.

I know I have no right to ask this but I'm asking anyhow.

Thank you.

Even from this side of the border, My prayers go out to the fallen soldier and is surviving family for the strength to carry on. I also pray that someday this will all be over.
