To Restaurant Depot that is. Didn't have much time so went right to the "prime" section.
Got an 15# Angus brisket, 12# prime ribeye, and a 6# of filet.

Threw the brisket in the freezer, sliced up the others into steaks

Picked out 3 filets for dinner tonight (sister is visiting) some ribeyes for tomorrow, and vac sealed the rest. Ended up with some fat trimmings for sausage also.

I wanted to get some corned beef brisket to make pastrami, but they only sold it in cases or a 20# pack. Too much for me at this time.
So now I am starting to understand why women like shopping. I can get into this. It is about a 95 mile drive to RD in Nashville but well worth it.
GO MEAT!

The new Restaurant Depot is just a few miles from my house. I thought you had to show a foodservice business license to be able to shop there?

You just need a "business license".

or you can join the Kansas City Barbecue Society for $35 (or around that) and go to their member discount page, download and print the coupon for a free day pass to RD.

See and I was thinking lingere and the like. Shopping is good for Men and a few women here as well, we just have a different reason, meat,
toys tools,
toys, precision hunting and fishing equipment, just to name a few of important ones.
I gotta say I take offense to this. As a woman I love shopping for anything - food (which includes all meat products) is definitely one of my favorite things to shop for. Why? Cuz then I get to come home and experiment - be it on the grill, stove, oven, or smoker. Soooooo :P
