Title: Hello fellow smokers!
Post by: Clyde72 on March 11, 2012, 04:31:54 AM
I am a rookie to the smoking world, I live in Colorado and huge outdoor enthusiast. I love to BBQ, cook, and entertain friends so the perfect addition is my new BDS.  Can someone tell me what a PID is?  Thanks

Here is the link (http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=14_28&zenid=2a9d14d3ee869da8983cfbe6129744ac) to auberins website. I have the dual probe but some members have the single.

If you plan on doing sausage it is a must,it will help you control temps +/- 2 degree whereas without it your temps may range between +/- 15 degree which could cause a fat out with your sausage and make it dry.

Thanks everyone for the information, I was able to find the link in another posting and read up on the PID.  I am guessing as much as its talked about it is easy to install, use and work with. Thanks again.

Clyde... here is a thread to check out, and if you go down through the thread you will come to a section that will really help you with the PID...
