Title: connections for auber pid
Post by: norskmon on March 12, 2012, 03:14:14 PM
Hello everyone. I am new to this smoking thing and a little confused. I purchased a dbs 4 shelf and an auber pid. the problem I am having is on the pid drawing the wiring is bypassing the sg and going directly to the smoker tower. No connection at all from the sg other than to an ac outlet. Is this drawing correct? Sure would appreciate your help.

The PID and smoke generator go to home wall outlet. The tower/smoker goes to the PID. That's correct.

The below link has photos of how to hook up your PID

Auber Plug and Play (http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?672-Auber-Plug-amp-Play-PIDs-Single-Dual-Probes&p=1045#post1045)

Habanero, that showed me what I didn't understand and that was if that temperature sensor wire had to be connected. It sure didn't show it in the diagram that came with the pid so I wasn't sure if I needed it. Thank you.
