Title: Random musing on the beauty of the simple wing....
Post by: ExpatCanadian on March 19, 2012, 12:10:39 PM
One thing I'm going to miss a lot when the Mrs and I move back to Canada is the fact that I can get this many wings for less the price of a fancy coffee at Starbucks:

Why are wings so expensive in Canada????

BURP!!

Do I really have to explain any more!  ;D  ;D  ;D

The fact that I alone may have driven the price up  ::) ... Seriously I don't find them that bad. I usually by them in 4 kg boxes for about $25. I can also get them in a 5 kg box for about $30.

Mike, thanks for your very ...erm... expressive response  ;D

Maybe it's because when I'm home and buy them locally (in Kindersley or Leader) the market is too small for them to be cheap...  I end up paying around 10 bucks for maybe a single kg....  usually around 20 whole wings which don't go very far as you well know!

The 12 whole wings I chucked on the grill last night cost me the equivalent of about $2....

Come to think of it, ribs are pretty cheap over here too!  2 of my staples!
